When Europeans arrived in Canada, the Cree people had a society united by language and culture that stretched from Alberta to Quebec. In shear size of population and expanse, the Cree had an empire that rivaled any in human history.

Empire of the Cree explores a vast and complex empire, an empire built on prairies and in forests rather than in stone and streets, an empire western man could not perceive.

This television series will be told from the perspective of the Cree people using live action and animated sequences to recreate the Empire of the Cree.
